To ensure the safety of our children, families and staff, we have amended our school drop off and collection times to support social distancing. Unless staggered times are no longer required, the times will remain the same for the rest of the year. The times for full time classes are as follows:
Year Group | Drop Off | Collection |
Reception | Between 8.45am and 8:55am | Between 3.00pm and 3.10pm |
Year 1 | Between 8.45am and 8.55am | Between 3.00pm and 3.10pm |
Year 2 | Between 9.00am and 9.10am | Between 3.15pm and 3.25pm |
Year 3 | Between 8.45am and 8.55am | Between 3.00pm and 3.10pm |
Year 4 | Between 9.00am and 9.10am | Between 3.15pm and 3.25pm |
Year 5 | Between 8.45am and 8.55am | Between 3.00pm and 3.10pm |
Year 6 | Between 9.00am and 9.10am | Between 3.15pm and 3.25pm |
The 10 minute window for each drop off and collection is to support families with siblings juggling different staggered times, as well as aiming to reduce the number of adults on site at any one time. Please organise your drop offs and collections to minimise your time on the school site. Arriving towards the end of the slot will not result in your child being marked late.
To further help with this:
• only one adult from each household or childcare provision should be on the school site for drop off or collection;
• please do not come to school earlier than your allocated slot;
• stand on a star with your child if you are waiting on the playground.
Nursery arrangements
We really appreciate Nursery parents/carers observing social distancing when entering and leaving the Nursery outdoor area for drop off and collection, without a set one-way system.
Nursery Session | Drop Off | Exit Point | Collection | Exit Point |
Morning | Between 8.45am and 8.55am | Redcar Road “OUT” Gate | 11.45am | Redcar Road “IN” Gate |
Afternoon | 12.30pm | Redcar Road “IN” Gate | 3.30pm | Redcar Road “IN” Gate |
3.15pm (for those with a 3.00pm sibling link collection) | Redcar Road “OUT” Gate |
The Nursery sessions where the Redcar Road “IN” gate is used to leave has a limited number of adults on site at that time, and the use of this exit point allows us to keep the KS1 playground gates locked throughout the main school day.
To ensure children arrive to school safely, they remain the responsibility of their parent/carer until they are inside the school building and should not be left unattended on school grounds. For safety reasons, we ask that all children and adults dismount bikes and scooters when they arrive at school and store them in the designated areas.
