Schools in England are allocated extra funding from the government to help them improve the attainment of pupils from low-income families or those from less advantaged backgrounds
Evidence shows that children from less advantaged backgrounds generally face extra challenges in reaching their potential at school, and often don’t achieve as well as their peers.
This school year, Westgarth Primary School received £64,020 to help us close the gap in learning and to support less advantages pupils to reach the national expectations of attainment.
